Who I Am, and Why Kirby’s Corner Exists
Share
My name is Hailey, and I live in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved animals — not just in a casual way, but in a way where I’ve always felt like I wanted to help them… somehow. I just didn’t know how that would fit practically into my real life.
Like a lot of people, life didn’t leave much room for ideal paths. I became a parent at a young age, and my priority had to be stability — making sure my kids were taken care of and had what they needed. The reality is, working in wildlife rehabilitation isn’t something that easily supports that kind of responsibility.
But that feeling never really went away.
At some point, I realized maybe the path didn’t have to be traditional.
That’s where Kirby’s Corner came from.
Instead of choosing between stability and purpose, I decided to try building something that could eventually support both. The idea is simple — create something people genuinely enjoy, and use it to fund something that matters.
Kirby’s Corner is my way of working toward building a wildlife rehabilitation center here in the Grande Prairie area. The goal is to make it fully self-sustaining, so the care of the animals never depends on inconsistent funding, donations, or grants.
I want to build something that can simply exist to help — without limitation.
Every design, every product, every order is a small step toward that.
And if you happen to find something here that feels like you — something you’d actually wear and enjoy — then that means more than I can really explain.
Because it turns this idea into something real.
Thank you for being here, even if you’re just looking around.
